Day 21 - Milan

Mikey Commentary:
Get up earlyish to go into Milan. Go down a gravel track that sat nav said to use and end up at a mine and offroad back up. Drive into the city a bit and park up. Then have a 20 min walk in. First walk across the square and get ambushed by people trying to get your money. 5 euros for Joe to have some corn for the pigeons. Go to the gothic church really impressive. Then wonder through some of the shopping areas etc. Then we fancied seeing San siro as we dont go to milan too often takes a while to get there as roads closed. Take photos outside in car park and then see museum and have stadium tour. Spend quite a bit of time finding a free camp as some are ok but are too insecty. End up returning to a lay-by to cook to avoid them and then set up and dive in the tent to keep them out. The campsite is on sand.

Bit of a close call at the start of this day as we drove a gravel track to a dead end. We turned around OK but then struggled to get back up the hill. We had to give it a couple of goes! Still, the Renault made it through!
The 'ambush' mentioned above... I think the guys took the picture and then demanded like 20 euros or something crazy. We gave them 5 but they made a bit of a scene. It's the sort of situation where you're grateful to be travelling with some mates!
