Day 25 - La Capta
29 August ’11
Mikey Commentary:
Travel along the south coast of france a bit more and go to La Capta as it came recommended by martins dad. Drive through the village and go to the beach at La bergerle (ie). Park up on a housing estate and then go for a swim. Go back to the car to make some lunch and then take it to eat on the beach. Spend about 3 hours there and then move off for a free camp. But then Joe realises he left his watch so we go back and he ends up finding it. Then leave to start our journey up the country drive for a couple of hours and then pull off the road and stop at a really stunning spot. Find a nice camping pitch and then walk to the top of the hill to see some great views. Set up on a really flat area that is made up of silt runoff from the heavy rain that had dried.
Martin:
La Capta was where my Dad spent some childhood holidays. When I showed the first draft of the route for the trip he suggested we visit. A fun addition, easy-going time on the beach.
